When Exploring Glass Railing Systems, the Wagner Difference is Clear

Glass Railings Offer Performance and Aesthetics for Interior and Exterior Applications

When Exploring Glass Railing Systems, the Wagner Difference is Clear.

There is a beauty in the uninterrupted aesthetic a glass railing system can provide. They offer greater sight lines at a live event, uniformity to architect’s vision, and clear, expansive vistas from any property. But there are other attributes that come into play when you build with Wagner glass railing systems.  Durability, versatility, performance and, most of all, safety. Add those to the mix and you truly have a thing of beauty.

At Wagner, we offer two lines of glass railing systems, LegatoTM and PanelGrip, each with numerous options and applications depending on your project. Let’s take a look at a few of the features that can help you decide which one is right for your next life safety system build.

The Legato Railing Collection – Glass Infill

In musical terms, “legato” means smooth, flowing and connected. We like to think our Legato Railing Collection is a symphony for the eyes – ideal for a wide range of guard, stair or ramp applications. Punctuated by durable, corrosion resistant 316 stainless steel posts and mounting components, Legato provides a sleek and sophisticated appearance that enhances the overall look and feel of any space.

This mechanically assembled, non-weld, modular railing system allows for a faster, simpler installation without any special training required. Simply choose your glass thickness, post shape, and glass mounting hardware, and voilà. Our ordering process makes it easy to get the code-compliant components you need, delivered with exacting specifications. With detailed assembly guides for round post, square post, flat blade post styles, each provides exceptional outdoor performance and qualifies for LEED credits.

PanelGrip® Railing System – Dry Glaze

We’ve all seen the kid who wants to run his hand along the railing through an entire building, up the stairs, down the hallway, tracing his path until there is not more rail to follow. That kind of experience is perfect for a no-post, dry glaze application like our PanelGrip Railing System, where an endless rail seems to float on air. Perfect for balcony applications as well as guard, stair, and ramps, PanelGrip® allows you to preserve indoor sightlines and create a brighter and more appealing visual environment throughout.

The latest offering in Wagner’s pioneering work in dry-glaze structural glass railing technology, PanelGrip® is lightweight and easy to install. Fittings and railing accessories come in a range of options to enhance the aesthetics of any space. Our innovative extruded aluminum shoe-base moulding qualifies for LEED credits and can be painted or clad to match existing décor. The no-post system design provides maximum light transparency, and our top rails and handrails accommodate the broadest grip-range of any dry-glaze system (1/2” – ¾” or 12-21.5mm).
