GLASS MOUNT BRACKETS
In a stairway, guard application – 42" high – codes will generally require that a handrail be provided at a height of between 34" and 38". With glass railing systems, these glass mounting brackets permit attachment of brackets directly to tempered glass structural balustrades.
NOTE:
These brackets require that a hole be drilled in the glass which must be done prior to tempering. Attempts to drill holes or grind the glass after tempering will most likely cause breakage.

HOLES SPECS FOR GLASS
Glass Mount Handrail Brackets require that a hole be drilled in the glass (3/4" hole for 1/2" glass; 9/16" for 3/4" glass) which must be done prior to tempering. Attempts to drill holes or grind the glass after tempering will most likely cause breakage.
Per ASTM C 1048, this chart should be used to determine minimum sizes and placement for tempered and heat strengthened glass.
