WAGNER 2007 CATALOG

The Wagner Companies has begun circulation of our 2007 master catalog.  The 2007 edition is Wagner's largest and most comprehensive catalog ever.  It includes all railing systems, products and services available from the R & B Wagner railing component product line and the J.G. Braun ornamental metal line in one 280-page directory of over 7,800 standard catalog items.

The Wagner Companies 2007 catalog introduces the Wagnerail™ Railing System with Aluminum and Stainless Steel components and assemblies that are unique to Wagner and multiple infill options of glass, Ultra-Tec® Cable Railing, 3form Ecoresin™ panels or Archimesh™ Stainless Steel Wire Woven Mesh panels.  All of these can also be lit using components from Wagner’s Lumenrail® system. 

The catalog provides complete information on all Wagner railing systems – spiral stairs, cable railing, glass railing – and railing components – connectors, flanges, slip-on fittings, balusters, handrail, brackets, architectural shapes and stamped ornaments.  The new catalog also includes an expanded technical information section that provides installation instructions and current code summaries.

RAW MATERIAL COSTS CONTINUE TO RISE

Starting in mid-2006 Wagner has seen a substantial increase in raw material costs for aluminum, bronze and stainless steel. During the past 12 months, stainless steel costs have doubled!

The increase in stainless steel prices are a result of the increased cost of nickel and the large demand brought about by those building new ethanol production plants. In addition to this resulting in cost increases, it also redirects the attention of suppliers away from the needs of the architectural metal trades and towards construction.

Wagner's present challenge is in finding raw materials that meet our high quality standards. If we reject material for quality our vendors report that they can easily sell it to others who are just happy to get it. Additionally, lead times are 16 to 20 weeks from the mills – some dates are even further out.

With this is mind, quoting these materials to you has become impossible to predict. As such, please be aware that quotes for custom materials are only in effect at the time the quote is presented.

Please be aware of the current market conditions and note that a quote from Wagner does not hold the material for your order.  The quoted price, material availability and lead time will be updated when your order is placed.

The following graph shows the increase in our Stainless Steel costs over the since September of 2005.

Due to this increase in raw materials, we have increased pricing on our stainless steel catalog items. Wagner will continue to monitor costs and do our best to hold prices on our standard products.

A Beta version of this tool is now open at http://design.wagnerail.com/ By entering dimensions and selecting runs, a railing quote can now be obtained in minutes complete with elevations and plan view. This is a preliminary version of this powerful software. Please try it out and provide us with your thoughts as to its usefulness and how it may be improved.

Clicking on this link will bring up our Part Lookup tool. Enter a Wagner part number, select pdf -- for printing -- or dxf -- for CAD use -- then click Submit Query. If the file is available, you will be able to view it to your computer. If the file is not available, contact Wagner so that we can add it to the system.

BikeRail™

Wagner BikeRail™ utilizes component sections to assemble one, three and five loop bike racks that can be shipped via UPS for significant savings in freight costs. BikeRail™ utilizes an aluminum internal splice connector to mechanically assemble the various sections into a complete unit. That same connector is also used to attach the base plate to the BikeRail™ for surface mounting.

Produced from 2", galvanized pipe -- black or unpainted -- BikeRail™ is available for quick shipment and installation.
