Guideline for Weld Joint -- Fabricated Stainless Steel

Components to be welded must have “Class 1”, “Class 2” , “Class 3” or “Special” cosmetic classification prior to acceptance of Customer Purchase Order.
• Specifications are as follows:

Class 1
Filler

Welder will add filler so no under-cut will be present. 1/2” Root.

Class 2
Fusion

Welder will add filler so no under-cut will be present. 3/8” Root. Weld will have chevron appearance.

Class 3
Fusion

No filler so under-cut will be present.
